Hi Everyone,
I would just like to remind everyone, sorry that I am so late, what the Miva Merchant Users Group is really all about.
This list has been of great help to everyone involved:
----- New Users -----
They have the luxury of having a place where they can post a question about
the software anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to get an answer from many different people who know Miva Merchant comprehensively.
----- 3rd Party Miva Developers -----
This list is a place where professional developers can do some DIRECT marketing. You can see a customer that has a need, and if you can meet it, then you've got a sale and a new customer. Also, in addition to a place to
sell, this is also a place where you customers can sometimes come for support.
----- Miva Corporation -----
This list is valuable to us, because it helps us to gauge our customers'
wants and other issues with the software. It also is place where customers can come if we are closed on the weekend. PLUS it takes some load off of the technical support department.

This whole thing is done and participated in on a volunteer ONLY basis. None of us HAVE to be here, but we all want to.
There is absolutely NO need to be insulting. There is no need to be INSULTED. Please, people,
read through your emails before sending them to make sure that no one will be offended by what is said.
People on the receiving end need to beware. Not everything is run through
the 100% non-offensive filter. This is a public forum, and things may be said that might bother you a little, but this is the nature of having a bulletin board like this.
So please, PLEASE, before you say anything at
all on here, sit back and make sure that you read through it. If it is inflammatory on purpose, THINK about what you have to gain. If it is a "low blow" back against someone who may have posted something that
offended you, THINK about what you have to gain by starting an "email bicker."
There is absolutely NO GOOD reason to criticize anyone's post publicly on
the list. If you disagree, then fine, state your disagreement cordially and try to help the customer in your own way. If you have any critical concerns with a 3rd party's work/documentation, please contact them directly.
Posting mean remarks only will have ONE cause.
This stuff should all really go without saying. The Merchant-Users group, with the exception of Order-Users [:-)] group SHOULD be the least DRAMA'd out group.
Please, just TRY to keep it civil in here.
